This is literally the 3rd time I have sat down to try and blog in the last few days, and I have not really had the time. There is a lot of stuff I need to talk about, so I guess I will just ramble on.
Queen's rugby is winding up or down, depending on how you look at it. We only have two games left, but they are a semi-final, and hopefully a final. This means that we are really starting to get hyped for the next weeks. Everybody thought that the game last Saturday would be close, as Laurier had fought the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams to close games. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to do the same to Queen's, as they got thumped 74-8. To summarize the games over the past few weeks, Queen's has now gone undefeated for the season, compiling an 8-0 record and a points for and against comparison of 411-39. Pretty awesome. The guys seem really focused and totally ready for the next two games. I can't wait.
Donna has been working really hard up in Ottawa, and has been struggling to get a few things sorted out. It sounds that things are starting to get cleared up though, which will make her life (and mine as a result) much better. She is getting terrified of the upcoming Ottawa winter though, and has been long-john shopping already. She has been able to come back into Kingston quite regularly, which has kept me sane. Donna also had a great time in Boston at this years American Emergency Physician's Conference. The one downside was maybe having to take a couple hours off to get her headlights fixed, which both burnt out just prior to her leaving for Boston. Despite this minor setback, she thoroughly enjoyed her trip, which included tours of Harvard and Fenway, several shopping expeditions, and she even managed to find time to sneak in most of the lectures. I even got a Boston Red Sox hat out of the deal, so not a ad trip at all.
Actually we were able to both enjoy our 30th birthday's together. Two weeks ago, I cooked my very first turkey for Thanksgiving. I don't have to tell you it was delicious do I? I would think it would be obvious. I brined it the night before (it took two of us and some amazing technological ingenuity from Donna to accomplish the feat) and took the advice from several different people and the turkey turned out great. Some of her friends cam over and we had delicious meal together. I then had to deal with the leftovers, which went into soup, a scrumptious pot-pie, and I still have left overs in the freezer. Apparently an 18 lb turkey is too much for 5 people and an infant. Anyway, it was great. Donna then cam back last weekend to celebrate my birthday. We had a delicious meal out at the Silver Wok, then spent Saturday night at the Iron Duke watching hockey and enjoying a delicious beverage or two. She even got me a cake, which was enjoyed by us and about 30 Queen's rugby players. All in all, turning 30 wasn't that bad.
I went to a leadership camp for the school, located at a camp about 35 minutes outside of Kingston. The kids seemed to enjoy it at least as much as I did, so it is probably safe to say that everyone had a great time. The highlight for me was probably falling off the high ropes course with Vicki McConnell, one of the teachers I work with, while giggling uncontrollably and thrashing my arm in the process. A fantastic couple of days all round.
The Walmart has expanded in Kingston, and now contains a full grocery store. Let's just say that shopping at Walmart is almost bearable now. I still have serious issues with their carts though. Last weekend, several drive-ways were blocked off, severely limiting the flow of traffic. The cause of the problem? People stack their carts like 100+ deep at the cart return stations, so that they stuck out across the path to get out. Smart huh?
I will try and get some pictures up as soon as possible. Until then,
Stay Frosty.

I knew you had to post sometime soon cause you would have something to say about turning 30. I kinda feel like it's now official that I'm 30 b/c you were always the youngest in our highschool group. Walmart....You actually shop there!!!! I hate it there. I can't justify the savings b/c the time deducted from my lifespan for frustration doesn't balance out.
