Hello loyal followers of my blog. Sorry for the recent lack of posts, but things have been crazy. First of all Donna is not around, so I have been flying solo with all the chores associated with owning a house. Second of all, school has just started again, and as usual, it takes more work than I realize to get back into the groove and teach kids the important things they need to know. Lastly, Queen's Rugby has started again, and as such my free time has pretty much gone to zero.
Of course, Donna not being around is a bit of a downer, and by a bit I mean it totally sucks, but the rest of the stuff is pretty exciting. I love rugby, so that is good, and I don't mind being back at work either. New courses are always challenging, and I am back at Bayridge, in town which is great. All right, enough about the good stuff, let's get to the part where I rant and rave.
I hate Frosh week. We don't have this out west, so it has taken me a little while to get used to it. The biggest problem with the Frosh (freshmen, but I also generically want to add all the people who do orientation with them) is that they wander aimless, with total disregard for general rules for pedestrians and are basically one big rude giant pain in the but. I wish people would learn that if you do something you are not supposed to do (like walk when it says not to at an intersection) and you get run over by something much heavier than you (like me in my car) you should expect to get hurt. Why not just do what your supposed to? The Frosh and their Chauffeurs need a lesson... seriously. To any of you who read this, which is probably none, your sense of entitlement astounds me and I hope your ignorance keeps you going when you get in an accident. I am of course hoping that nothing bad happens to anyone, but if you carry on the way you are...
Anyway, enough of the ranting. Hope everyone enjoys these last few days of summer. Kingston was 25 and sunny today.
Stay Frosty.
