Is It Over Yet???

Man, it has been a rough few weeks, which is why I haven't had time to update this blog lately. We had a fantastic stretch of weather, but that too has gone sour on me.

I just got a notice from the TaxMan that I owe 187.00, for GST/HST rebates that I have to payback now that I am officially living common-law with someone. You would think that if you get money from someone, you wouldn't have to give it back. Unfortunately this is not the case when dealing with the government. I will remember this the next time I owe someone money.

I am finally getting over my broken rib. I got hit funny at practise weeks ago, and it is finally at the point where there is very little pain and I have started to actually practise again. You never realize how much your ribs do for you (and the rest of your torso for that matter) until you hurt it. Having hurt my ribs before, I was not looking forward to the coughing, sneezing and laughing. Going to the gym was difficult, because you use your core for just about everything, and believe it or not, the most painful thing was actually trying to stretch out at night when I went to bed.

I guess on the bright side, I did get an iPhone, which is totally awesome. I feel like I could control the world from my phone now, which I might actually be possible (or at least a small, non-Democratic country). Donna is giving me a bad time because I spend so much time playing with it, but I figure the fad will end soon.

Lastly, I just got my lay-off notice in the mail. Whooo-hoooo. Yup, that means that as of the end of June, I will not have a job for the upcoming year. Now, I know they usually lay-ff more people than is necessary because they don't want to get caught with too many teachers on the pay-role, but I was really hoping to have a job in line before summer started. Oh-well, who needs an income?

11 more days of school. You think the kids are counting the days?

Stay Frosty.
