Too Many Firsts = No Time

So I haven't had much time to do any Blogging. I know this is bad, becuase everyone wants to know everything that's going on here in Kingston with Donna and I, but it can't be helped. Here's why I have fallen behind, grouped by topic, starting with the mostr boring things and working up to the most exciting things.

Rugby

The Queen's rugby team is off to Argentina for a tour later this week and they have been trying to practise as much as possible to ensure that they don't get clobbered by a bunch of big burly Argentines. The practises have been good and I have been joining in whenever possible so I have been getting a few extra workouts in. They Leave wednesday, so rugby should be calming down a bit... at least until Kingston Panther start their practises in a few weeks.

ICU

Obviously, I have not been in the ICU... I am hale and whole. Donna however has been hard at work, saving livings and keeping the critically ill alive. While this is noble, it has taken a bit out of our active social life. We actually don't have a social life anymore. Donna works and sleeps, and is really not getting enough of the latter either. This is only going to last for another 5 weeks though. Then she leaves for Oshawa for 8 weeks. This will of course not really improve our social life, but it may increase my free time.

Weather

Why didn't anyone tell me that it snows in Kingston? The odd bit of snow is kinda fun. Meters and meters of the stuf is another matter. I tried to leave the parking garage the other day, and becuase our useless landlady hadn't shoveled yet, I got a little hung up. By a little I mean that i spent 20 minutes shoveling and was 20 minutes late for work. Oh yeah... did I mention I got a new job?

New Job

More free time will definetly come in handy, since I just got a new job, and it requires a lot of extra work. I got a job as a full time teacher, at least until the end of the semester. I had applied to about 12 different jobs, but hadn't gotten even so much as an interview... seniority sometimes does not have its perks especially if you are low man on the totem pole. Then this job came-up at the North Addington Education Centre. For tose of you who don't Know where that is, it's in Cloyne. If you don't know where Cloyne is, then you should Google-Map it. You will get a feeling of how far away it is. It's sort of like commuting from Hope to Vancouver for work. It takes about an hour and 30 minutes to get to Cloyne from Kingston, partiularly when there is 4 feet of snow everywhere like there has been this week.

Not only is there the drive, but there is also a rediculous amount of prep. Oh, I didn't mention that I am teaching Sociology? Or, more importantly, that I am teaching English? Yeah... lots of prep.

House

Lastly Donna and I are trying to buy a house. I don't want to jinx anything, so I will tell you more about the house saga later. Needless to say, I have 24 hours in a day and I need about 37. I am off to bed. Gotta get up early to get to work on time.

Oh, one more thing. Spellchecker is broken, so my grammar just got that much worse.

How do you break your spellchecker?

Not sure how it broke, just that it doesn't work anymore. I am obviously a computer genius.

Dude,
you gotta hope someone gets pregnant at a school closer to your place. Good on you though... Now that you might have more time in the future, my recommendation is that you:
1. Buy a Wii
2. Pre-order a copy of smash bros
3. Play online until late at night
4. Get to work late... again.

Later,
