Well, the end of semester 1 is fast approaching us here in Kingston. In fact, today was the last day of classes, which means I will be back on the Supply list in a few days. Boo hoo. I enjoyed working at Ernestown, but I really enjoyed working period. I don't really like going to bed and trying to figure out if I am going to have work the next day. Oh well.
Donna and I have been house searching as well these past weeks. So many choices, not enough time to check them all out. Our real estate guy is awesome however, and as he came highly recommended to us, we would recommend him to others. I am planning on going out again this Thursday to see some more properties. It's really funny to see how some people live. There have been a few houses that were crooked... not just leaning, but flat out didn't feel safe to be in. It was really weird. We saw a house where the people had carpeted the bathroom. Needless to say there was an excess of crusty black mold everywhere. Not the most appealing way to present a house. I have high hopes about the houses I am going to see this week.
Donna has been working a ton lately. She just started ICU, and although you have fewer patients (usually only 1 or 2, sometimes 3) to worry about, they are always super sick and need constant attention. She was on-call last night, and I am assuming sleeping right now. She just finished her first of 8 weeks in this rotation, and already she is pretty much dead tired.
Speaking of tired, last Saturday was the Queen's RFC rugby banquet. Lets just say that nobody got much sleep (for a variety of reasons... none of which should be mentioned) and leave it at that. My Dad would love the fact that the next day everyone one the mailing list got about 20 or so emails wondering if people had picked-up things that they had left behind (he seems to thrive on me losing things, although in the past few years he has probably lost more things than I have). There were lots of suit jackets, vests and ties forgotten, as well as awards, shoes, dresses, dates, dignity, and even an LCD projector (that's right, $$$ down the drain if he can't find it). Good times had by all though.
In closing, damn the snow (15 more cm today) and the cold (-20ish last night with wind chill) and have a good week.
