Our house is starting to feel like our house. I know we paid for it, and we sleep in it, but some parts of it don't feel like ours yet. It's getting better. Our fridge door finally got switched around. We had to wait for the technician to come because I don't have a ton of tools... or any really for that matter. But, it got changed so we are happy with the kitchen now. The cable guy came as well, so we are back on the grid after upgrading both the Internet to high-speed, and Donna graciously aloud me to get cable. Which I then begged and pleaded to be upgraded to digital cable. All I have to say is: "Yee Haw!!!!" I watched Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer after the cable guy left on Sunday and I felt pretty good about myself.
A lot of things have been put away, although there is still a ton more to do. We are also going shopping this week for the last few pieces of furniture we need to get. A bedroom set, which we have already basically picked out, and a couple of chairs to put in the living room. We are going to go with the couch and chairs/ottomans look. No love seat, as we are quickly running out of space. And finally, Donna has also agreed to getting a nice, new, flat-screen TV. I can hardly wait. I have been researching pretty heavily and there are a lot of options. I feel like a kid at Christmas time. Hopefully by the weekend we will have purchased everything and just be waiting for delivery.
So who you ask is the new baker in town? Why me of course. My Grandmother would be pretty proud of me right now I think. I managed to make 4 loaves of white bread, from scratch, without a bread making machine. Just me, a mixer, some hard work, a couple of pans and a stove. It turned out a little heavy, but it was very tasty, particularly for my first time making bread. I kind of enjoyed it really. Looks like I need to get Grandma's bread recipe from my Mom... not that she is using it or anything (hehehe, just kidding Ma).
