So my things from Vancouver finally arrived. I am now officially moved to ON, and man does it feel good to be with Donna. Although there is a crap load of stuff in the apartment now that needs to be put away, I have a couple of days to work on that. First, we need to go and get some cheap shelving and a couple of large Tupperware containers to hold all my crap.
Me checking out the condition of my car.
More than slightly nervous as my car comes out of the truck. I know he does this for a living, but... iiiiiiieeeeeeee!!!!
The most interesting thing about the move: Donna now has more jackets and shoes then I have, and she is still complaining about the space my stuff is taking up. Oh well, she loves me.
It was pretty interesting watching them take my stuff off the truck, which by the way packed to the brim. I was totally impressed. M car had no damage, and so all my fears were unfounded. The driver was really nice too, and despite my impression that the operation was a little sketchy, it all turned out fine. I even got a better deal than I was supposed to, so thanks to Darryl and my Dad for being associates. 1000.00 to ship all my stuff was definitely worth it, and the extra couple of days was no big deal.
I also went and practiced for the Kingston Panthers tonight, the local rugby team. They seem like a really good bunch of guys, which was very nice. Had a good run to, although I was dogging it by the end, since this was my first real run in 2.5 months. Not too bad though, I didn't throw-up. Looks like I will be playing with them on Saturday too, if my body is not totally beat-up by then. All in all a pretty good day. I actually have nothing to complain about... which is strange for me.
Donna getting ready for the road trip to Napanee. Such a supportive partner, but she only went because...
Tania, her friend from Toronto was in town and was going to keep her company.

Hey Mike!
We're glad that your stuff got there...so much for hunting down your stuff at the local pawn shops! =) Glad to hear that you are having a great time in Kingston. Say hi to Donna for us!
We bumped into your mom, aunt and cousin at the Harry Potter launch last week at Van Dusen...they seemed to be having fun despite the crowd!
Hurry up and read those books dammit!
Keep on posting...
Maggie and Joe
(p.s. don't mind the random email address...I don't have gmail...mind you Joe does...whatever...)
One more thing from Joe:
"Kiwi touch has been fun so far (except for the god awful shirts they have...neon green, orange, yellow and an ugly blue--Maggie) and Robbie Schmitz wimped out after one week"
Casey says hi too...and if you're on facebook you can see his photos! Casey is also on a diet...vet says he's too fat...he's looking at us with much distaste as we serve him low cal kibble and steamed broccoli every night...and he spits out the low cal doggie treats...he is not pleased.
Lee family diet...not the best...
